| Guess everyone is stuffed with turkey,
ham, dressing and all that good stuff. We wished everyone a Merry
Christmas last week, just forgot to add it to the article. It was
in my notes, but that doesn't count. I think that's called a "Senior
Moment". While it's still on my mind, we hope everyone has a very
Happy and Prosperous New Year.
We received such a lovely note and Christmas card from Doris Grubbs Campbell, Class of 1941 now of Marlin. Said she's doing better, gets around on a walker. Her speech is good but her memory is bad and the doctor doesn't think it will improve. Her hand writing is good and it's so great to hear from her. Got a nice e-mail from Mike Brown of Rockdale telling us it was good to hear some good news about Nancy Barron Heleman, Class of 1957. (More on Nancy below) He is so nice to respond to any of our news that he is familiar with. Said he didn't know Nancy personally, but does know Ray Barron, Class of 1956, her brother. Our condolences to the family of exes mom, Janie Schramm who passed away December 16, 2007. She was mom to Franklin Schramm, Class of 1962 and Ben Schramm, Class of 1967 of Harwood. She will surely be missed by many. We received an e-mail from classmate, Martha
Adams Lehman, Class of 1953 of Houston. She sent her e-mail change
a few weeks back and now she has a new address. Always good to hear
from her no matter what the reason.
Hope you had a chance to ride around and look at all the beautiful homes decorated for Christmas. Just never saw so many lovely decorations. Music playing, lights flashing and just can't say enough about all the hard work that goes into those decorations. A few exes sightings so far during the holidays:
We need to keep a young man in our prayers. Moses Hinistroza, a senior this year in high school had a very bad car accident just north of Thorndale this past week. He will be in the hospital for several more weeks with a long road ahead. Do remember him in your prayers as he really needs all the support he can get right now. |
| Be sure to keep us in mind when you hear
of an ex-student's move for a change of address, a marriage, death or an
achievement of any kind that we would be interested in hearing about.
If you have any information for us or if you need information from us, just give us a call or let us know in any way and we'll do what we can to help. We love to hear from our exes. Contact any of the following:
