We received another one of those "believe it or not" Homecoming invitations this week.  It was mailed August 24, 2007 and returned to us January 25, 2008.  If you know the whereabouts of Kevin Kovar, Class of 2005, please give us a call.  We sure hate to lose another one of our young exes.

Thanks to Evelyn Beard Young, Class of 1953 of Rockdale for calling in the information that Frances Foehr Freels, also Class of 1953 of Taylor is now in the SPJST Rest Home in Taylor.  Frances had a stroke a couple of years ago and just needed a little more help.  If you go over to visit any other family or friends, she would sure welcome a visit.

Gracie Schneider Cargill, Class of 1967 is so good to jot down addresses, etc. for me to pick up when I go to the beauty shop.  She was with her Mom in the doctor's waiting room and kept looking at a lady thinking she looked familiar.  Well, we now have new name on our 1965 Class Roster.  Donna Doss White of Lexington told Gracie she was in high school in the class with Angie Schneider Becker, Class of 1965, Gracie's sister.  Small world!!! Many thanks to Gracie for getting all the information we needed for our records, even her e-mail address.

Noticed in the paper a photo of Kayla Marie McCoy, Class of 2004 in her cap and gown.  She graduated from Texas A & M on December 15, 2007, with a bachelor of arts degree in communications.  She's doing a lot of
volunteering before she starts work on her Master's degree.  Our
congratulations to Kayla.  We're so proud of her and look how quickly she did it.  Kayla received the Berniece Jackson Owen Scholarship given in memory of her husband, Lavene Owen and her fond memories of her school days in Thorndale.  Berniece was in the Class of 1935 and lives in San Marcos.

There was a really nice article in the newspaper along with several photos of Zane Stigall, Class of 1961 and the lovely and different new home, still under construction, in the San Gabriel area.  It has a tower to look all across the area.  He also has a Boston and Maine railroad commuter car that he had transported to the property several years ago.  Really nice article and we'll be so happy to have Zane and his wife back in the area from their present home in Houston.

Went to a really lovely 25th wedding anniversary celebration of Carolyn and Larry Roepke, Class of 1955 of Taylor.  So many exes were there and many other family and friends and that makes for such a fun evening.  The hall was beautiful, the food was great and the music (band) great, too.  Our congratulations to Larry and Carolyn on this milestone.

Charles Moerbe, Class of 1955 of Dripping Springs tells us he's going on another of his great trips this summer.  Anyone out there interested in going to Mongolia give him a call or call us and we'll be happy to give you his address.  He just likes to have someone along with him that he knows and for company.  You are guaranteed a wonderful time but you must be healthy and very fit and able.

Pam Unnasch Ballard, Class of 1974 is home from over a week's stay in the hospital.  She had the flu and it just ballooned out of control and several of her vital organs started to shut down.  We need to keep Pam in our prayers as she has some real recovery time ahead of her. We wish her a big "Get Well!"
