We had a great week of contacts among our exes and non-exes.  These phone calls, e-mails and notes really help with this news article.

Received such a nice phone call from Glen "Peachy" Anders, Class of 1981 of Inman, Kansas.  He reads our news article in the newspaper and on the internet and we're so glad he does.  His son, Jeremy Hall, graduated last week from Great Lakes Naval Base boot camp in Chicago.  He is now in "A" school in Mississippi until June.  Our wishes go out to Jeremy for helping make our country safer and our many thanks to Peachy for the call.

Our condolences to the family of Leroy  Niemtschk, Class of 1942 who passed away on March 22, 2008.  Leroy was always the first one to get to the hall on Homecoming day and sat facing the door so he could see everyone that walked in.  He was always so pleasant and happy to see his old friends.  He will surely be missed by his family and we, the exes, will surely miss him, too.

Nice article and a big picture of Mary Lee Graham Dyess, Class of 1976 and husband Chris of Rockdale in the newspaper.  They each received a commemorative Germania watch for 25 years of service at the District 8 meeting held at the Marriott Hotel in Round Rock on March 8, 2008.  Our congratulations go out to them on this milestone.

Our thanks to John Cavazos, Class of 1966 of Rockdale for calling in his change of address in Rockdale.  Every corrected address saves us at least .41 and if we re-mail, it's a cost of .82 for each one.  So we really appreciate all these timely changes.  It was good to hear from John.

Our condolences to the family of Corine Chapman who passed away March 13, 2008.  She was mother to Shirley Cavazos, wife of Joe Cavazos, Class of 1963 of Rockdale.  She will surely be missed.  Our thanks to Evelyn Beard Young, Class of 1953 for a heads up on this death.

Now for some great Homecoming news and our thanks to Ernest and Laura Bell Olbrich Patschke for bringing us this good news from the Retirees Party that we missed.  Barbara Rosenthal Hargrove, Class of 1962 of Buckholts says she plans so bring Ann Rosenthal Burnett, Class of 1929 of Eliasville to Homecoming this year.  She's ninety seven (97) years young and writes and sends a donation to our organization each year.  She always wants to know what goes on at Homecoming and we're so happy to send the news to her.  Can't wait to meet her and it's so great of Barbara to bring her.  Our exes are so nice, aren't they?

Noticed in the newspaper that Gary Northcott, Class of 1973 has just finished a 24 hour Justice of the Peace Seminar and was certified.  The Seminar was held in Corpus Christi in February.

I have a correction to make.  In a previous news article I listed Angela Kiesling, Class of 2002 getting married on April 15 and we really discussed this odd day to get married, but it was in the newspaper, so we thought it had to be right.  Well, it's April 5, not the 15th.  Hope no one uses this article as "written in stone."

Holli Biehle Van West, Class of 2001 wrote a good financial article in the newspaper.  Noticed her address has changed from Round Rock to Georgetown.  It was great to see an article written by one of our exes.

Our Thorndale Jamboree will mark it's 14th year anniversary show on March 24, 2008.  What a milestone for such a great event.  It takes lots of folks to pull off something this big and it's every month, not a quarterly or once a year event.  They make the best chicken salad sandwiches in the world.  If you like music, it's the place to be at 7 pm on each fourth (4th) Monday of every month.  And so many exes are involved that we can't name them all but know they are appreciated.

Exes mom, Rosalie Biar, and wife of Harold Biar, Class of 1949 called and she is still working with internet providers.  Sure hope she gets it worked out soon.  So glad I'm through with it, forever, I hope.   Remember our new e-mail address:  locojo@austin.rr.com.

If you haven't already done so, be sure and mark your calendar for Homecoming 2008 on October 17 and 18.  The football game will be with Milano.  We sure look forward to seeing all that can attend.  And you'll surely have a good time.
