| The ex-students are getting back to normal,
slowing down a bit after Homecoming. It's nice for things to slow
down, but miss all the e-mails, phone calls and letters.
We did get one e-mail this week. Martha Adams Lehman, Class of 1953 of Houston has changed her e-mail address and we really appreciate her letting us know. Our condolences to the family of Herman "Rabbit" Harris who passed away October 30, 2007. He was father to ex-teacher, Suzanne Lenz and father-in-law to Charlie Grisham, Class of 1981. He also had a number of grand children among our exes. He will be missed by so many. Since Saturday a week ago, Erin Beard, Class of 1998 became Erin Beard Griffith. Our congratulations to her on her marriage. We hope Kelton Schneider, Class of 1959 got to come home this past week and is doing well. Kelton had a blood clot in his leg. Our get well wishes go out to him. We hope you had a great, safe Halloween. Ours was wonderful as it always is. Made 130 candy bags for treats and had 22 left. So, that means we had 108 little goblins and we enjoyed seeing each and every one of them. We received such a nice, beautiful thank you note from the Dedication Committee of the First Baptist Church. After we finished with our Homecoming activities, we donated the lovely flower arrangement given to us by Bank of Texas, Thorndale, to them for their dedication service the next day. The card had a keepsake rendering of their beautiful new church. It was such a lovely arrangement that we couldn't let it go to waste. Weldon Berry, Class of 1956 of Austin wrote such a nice letter for his sister, Joan Berry Rutherford, Class of 1953. He sent her new address in Austin and wrote that she is in an assisted living apartment due to the results of a stroke. Her husband, Ernest Rutherford, passed away in July and she could no longer stay alone. We send her our good wishes and thanks to Weldon for letting us know. He's a really good brother to do this for her. There was a nice photo in the paper of the Taylor Rodeo Board. Our own Preston Hegar, Class of 1978 is one of the directors and was in the photo. Our exes do get around. Our high school students are still going strong. Our Lady Dogs and Bulldogs won district again in Cross Country. The Ladies have won district 5 consecutive years and the Bulldogs have won district 2 consecutive years. They were in San Antonio at Regionals this past week-end and haven't heard the results of that competition. Our Volleyball team is still rolling, too. They are two games out of district. We are so proud of these future exes. Our get well wishes go to exes mom, Imajean Fisher. She is in the hospital getting her health problems back in line and hopefully will be home this week, sometime. Roy and Pam Unnasch Ballard, Class of 1974 have returned from a nice vacation with daughter, Crystal Ballard, Class of 1996 of Lakewood, Colorado. They had a great time taking in the signts in Colorado including the beautiful changing of the leaves, Pikes Peak and many other sights. Had some lovely photographs and souvenirs. Will list a few of our "lost" exes from
this year. Their invitations were returned with incorrect addresses
and we were unable to find an address or anyone who could. Last known
city of their residence is listed.
