Projects and Homework For Mrs. Hodges
Thorndale High School
Thorndale ISD

General Guidelines

I require that most work in my classes will be done in class.  If a student has difficulty completing a project or assignment that they have worked on in class, they may work on a project outside of class.  Students will not have the option of completing an assignment at home when they did not use class time to work on their project.

Occasionally I will give students a homework assignment or project to be completed at home.  Each semester every high school Family and Consumer Science student is required to do a Supervised Occupational Activity.  See guidelines below for Supervised Occupational Activity.

Supervised Occupational Activity

All high school  students in Family and Consumer Science are expected to do a Supervised Occupational Activity.  This project should include an activity that the student has never done before and should in some way be related to an occupation.  It may be a classroom activity.  Below are a few examples of the project:

Students are not limited to these suggestions.  The Supervised Occupational Activity will be done the second 6 weeks of each semester and the form must be signed by the parent.  This activity is required by the state and failure to complete it will result in failure for the 6 weeks.
