Bond Update:
I just wanted to share a few pictures to update the progress of our Elementary School's new entrance awning and drop-off awning poles, as well as the connection hallway. We are obviously not finished yet, but things are moving along great!
Thorndale ISD & T-Mobile Friday Night Lights
By now, I am sure you have heard that Thorndale is participating in the annual T-Mobile Friday Night 5G contest. This contest supports small-town athletics and gives large donations to schools that show the most school spirit and social media presence.
The Thorndale Bulldogs were awarded $5,000 from T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights a few weeks ago, but we are not done yet! The $1,000,000 grant prize is still up for grabs.

Whether it be organizing and managing student and teacher devices, ensuring transparency in communication, visibility on social media, or fixing all the things that we expect to work even though we don’t understand exactly how they work, such as networks, cables, devices, copiers, badges, etc., these three DO IT ALL!
We are so grateful to have folks to help us manage the things we take for granted and rely on for our jobs.
Homecoming Court:

Volleyball Updates:
Varsity opened district play the other night vs. McDade. Kudos to the ladies on Varsity for winning 3-0 and JV for winning 2-0. For a full list of scores and updates, I encourage you each week to check out our Thorndale Athletics social media page.
Football Updates:
I think the whole town knows Thorndale had a big win last week against our neighbors, Thrall, 28-14. There were a lot of things to celebrate and some areas to continue to improve on as the season moves on.
We have another big game tonight (Friday, 9/18/26) vs. Corsicana Mildred. The Bulldogs are currently 3-0, and all three of those opponents have been 3A schools (as is Corsicana). The JV also had a good win in an exciting game that ended 28-24 in the Bulldogs' favor.
Cross Country Updates:
Our varsity runners competed today at the HOKA McNeil meet today. Good luck to all of our runners.
Our JH Cross Country team traveled to La Grange recently, and our Lady Dogs WON the 8th grade division!
Congratulations to all of our Lady Dogs: Kenzie Gest, Ashlynn Suchomel, Emily David, Hayden Dominguez, Jocelyn Avalos, Bridget Webber, Joselyn Gonzalez, Mallory Franklin, and Leighton Chevalier

The Bulldogs had a great meet as well, with many runners showing improvement and continuing to get stronger each week!

The NEXTGEN season opener kicked off on Lake Stillhouse, with 75 teams competing for the top spot!
Representing Thorndale were:
- Alfie McDaniel & Carter Stoecklein
- Brady Unnasch & Colton McDonald
- Sloan Sanders & Adam Shields
- Grayson Stoecklein & Colby McAnulty
Tournament Results
- Adam Shields & Sloan Sanders weighed in 2 bass for 4.69 lbs, finishing 23rd place.
- Grayson Stoecklein & Colby McAnulty brought in a 5-bass limit weighing 6.54 lbs, good enough for 13th place!
Great job to all four Thorndale teams competing against a strong field of 75 teams. The season is just getting started, and we’re looking forward to seeing what these anglers accomplish!
