Volume 4, Issue 5: 10/16/26
Greetings, Bulldogs! Happy Friday.
Good luck to all of our kiddos who have been showing in the Rockdale Fair this week/end and I hope everyone enjoys the four-day mini-fall break!

A Message & Invitation from our Students in Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA):
A message from THS student Cheynne Stevenson: I am writing on behalf of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes to invite anyone and everyone in the community to our upcoming Field of Faith event, which will take place on October 21, 2026. Please see below for the details.

TISD Cafeteria Staff Rocks:
I want to take a moment to brag on our cafeteria staff and the work they do. They could easily just serve up basic food that meets the requirements by the state, but instead, they enter into various programs and challenges all year long to spice things up!
As someone who eats from the Thorndale ISD cafeteria 3-5 days a week, I can personally tell you that there is always something good on the menu!

FFA & 4H Updates:
Be on the lookout for a TON of updates on our FFA and 4H students at the Rockdale Fair. It isn’t over yet, but there are a lot of students participating and lots of success from our Thorndale kiddos.
In addition to the Rockdale Fair, Riley Clinard won Champion Senior Prepared Public Speaking in the Ag Advocacy division at the State Fair of Texas (to go along with her other successes at the fair). Thorndale FFA is super proud of her hard work and dedication to perfect her skill as a speaker. Congratulations, Riley, on an outstanding achievement!

TISD Bass Club Update:
The Thorndale Bass club competed Saturday, October 3rd, in the Faith Angler Network on Lake Belton.
Representing Thorndale Middle School were Kaleb Breiththaupt & Beckett Bleeker, and representing Thorndale High School were Brady Unnasch & Colton McDonald.
It was a tough day on the water, with very wet and rainy conditions throughout the tournament. While Kaleb & Beckett were unable to stay on the water all day, Brady & Colton stuck it out from start to finish.
Their persistence paid off with a 4-fish limit weighing 5.96 pounds, good enough for 21st place out of 107 boats!
Congratulations to Brady & Colton on a great finish, and a big thank-you to all of our sponsors for supporting the club!

Band Updates:
2ND PLACE FOR THE FIGHTIN' BAND FROM BULLDOG LAND!
Congratulations to the Fightin' Band from Bulldog Land on an outstanding performance at the Giddings Bandtoberfest Marching Contest this past weekend!
Competing against 13 other bands from Classifications 2A, 3A, and 4A, our Bulldogs brought home 2ND PLACE!
The band has made incredible progress with their show over the past week, and the best part? They're not finished yet!
