Thorndale ISD is SO lucky to have 3 ROCKSTAR counselors. The amount of services and support they provide our students and families is unmatched. They can be found building schedules, supporting mental health, problem solving relationship problems, leading character education groups, and sooo much more!

FCCLA Heading to STATE:
On Thursday 1/25 & 1/26 our Thorndale High School FCCLA students traveled to Galveston to compete at Regionals.

The Importance of Voting:
I want to encourage you to exercise your civic responsibility as a voter during this 2024 election year. Voting not only gives us a voice in our democracy but also demonstrates to our children the importance of using that voice. I would never tell you how to vote, or who to vote for, but rather to please simply make sure you do vote.
I especially want to note that the March 5 Texas primary elections are fast approaching, giving all of us a critical opportunity to decide who will be on the ballot in November. When you register to vote in Texas, you do not register as a member of one party or another. As a result, Texas has what is known as an open primary, which means that any registered voter can choose to vote in either party’s primary election — regardless of how you have voted in the past.
Only 18 percent of registered Texas voters participated in our state’s last primary, which was in March 2022. In other words, most voters do not participate in these often-decisive elections.
How Do I Register to Vote:
If you are not registered to vote, please register by the Monday, Feb. 5 deadline. Early voting is Feb. 20 - March 1 and Election Day is March 5. I also encourage you to vote in any runoff elections that will be held later in the spring–voter turnout in runoff elections is typically even lower than in primaries.
Even if you are not interested in what is on the ballot at this time, getting registered to vote will allow you to be prepared if/when something of great interest is on the ballot. In May, TISD will have school board member elections and potentially a bond on the ballot.
You can check to make sure you are registered if you are unsure, register for the first time, or learn more about how and where to vote atVote Texas votetexas.gov.
Please take the time to exercise your right to vote. Voting is one of the best ways to directly impact the future of our state, our community, and our public schools.
Athletics Realignment:
Every 2 years, the UIL does district realignments. This is to take into account growth and changes schools have year after year.
If you have not seen it yet, below is our new alignment for Fall sports. We see big changes in football that will heavily impact travel time, and some more minor changes in volleyball and basketball.
