TISD BOND UPDATES

Thorndale ISD is incredibly grateful for the support of our community in passing the 2024 Bond, which passed with a vote of 468 to 131. Thanks to your belief in our vision, we’re moving forward with exciting improvements across the district. Construction is already underway on Stadium Street behind the visiting side of the football field, with a grand opening expected in the fall of 2027. Stay tuned for more updates as bond projects begin at the elementary school, middle school, and throughout the district—great things are ahead for our Bulldogs!

2024 Bond Projects & Campus Improvements

  • High School
    The 2024 Bond paves the way for a brand-new Thorndale High School, to be built on recently purchased land. This state-of-the-art facility will feature modern classrooms, a new cafeteria and kitchen, dedicated spaces for Agriculture and Career & Technical Education, enhanced Band and Fine Arts areas, and a new Field House—providing our students with the resources they need to learn, grow, and succeed.
  • Middle School
    The 2024 Bond brings exciting changes for Thorndale Middle School, including renovations to the current Band Hall and the transition of the Middle School campus into the current High School building. Additionally, the Special Education Department will move into the current Middle School space, creating improved learning environments and better alignment of resources to support all students.
  • Elementary School
    As part of the 2024 Bond, exciting improvements are coming to the elementary campus, including a new connection between the current Elementary and Middle School buildings, updated playground facilities, and enhanced site signage and wayfinding. Additionally, plans are in place to transition the upper elementary grades into the current Middle School building, creating more space and better alignment for student learning.
