Thorndale Community Involvement Committee
We had an awesome group of parents and community members join us on Wednesday to get a behind-the-scenes look at all things Thorndale ISD. We had the opportunity to put on our Thorndale hard hats and tour the new high school construction site with work happening all around us. Then we toured the rest of the district to discuss phase 2 projects, and even dream up some ideas for “what may be next!”. The group ended back at central office to discuss our strategic plan, how to stay involved, and a recent financial report with exciting information… more to come on that!
National Principals’ Month:
I may be biased, because I used to be principal, but it is one of, if not the, hardest jobs in education. That is because as a principal, you have to be everything to everyone. You work to meet the needs of students, staff, parents, community members, and much more! They are often put in positions where there is not right answer, no way to make everyone happy, and often asked to do more with less.
The three principals in Thorndale are incredibly devoted to this difficult task and spend countless hours, both seen and unseen, committed to Thorndale’s success.
Custodian Appreciation Day:
“Great schools are built on the hard work of those who care for them.”
Please join us in saying a HUGE thank you to our amazing custodial staff! Thorndale ISD is fortunate to have six of the very best, working diligently each day to keep our school safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone.
