TISD Bond Update:

Our new Thorndale ISD High School is off to a strong start in the new year and remains on schedule. The exterior façade is nearing completion, with sidewalks and site concrete well underway. MEP wall rough-ins are progressing, all RTUs are set, and interior work has begun with drywall installation, finishing, and painting. Full steam ahead as we move into the next phase of construction. 

  1. Masonry on the side of the building is nearly complete. The view below is just outside the locker rooms.

  1. The exterior metal siding is nearly complete. Below is an image of the CTE building next to the side of the academic hallway.

  1. The “back-of-house” patio that is covered out behind the CTE building is taking shape, and it is clear this is going to be a great future space for student projects!

(Reminder) TISD Facility Meeting Date Change:

Girls Basketball:

The girls are doing great in district play at 3-1 heading into their next game.

  • 31-25 loss to Barlett (district game)
  • 47-18 win over Milano (district game)
  • 23-20 win over Rosebud-Lott (district game)
  • 53-19 win over McDade (district game)
  • Thorndale Shoutout:
    • 2-2, with wins over Valley Mills & Rogers, a close loss to Cameron Yoe, and a loss to a tough Crawford.

Boys Basketball:

The boys are off to a great 16-4 start on the season and are 2-0 in district play!

  • 89-29 win over McDade (district game)
  • 51-47 win over Rosebud-Lott (district game)
  • Tenaha Tournament: 
    • Silver Bracket Champions!
      • Final game: 80-25 over Shelbyville
  • Lieberman Classic: 
    • 1st Place Champions!
      • Final Game: 49-40 over Lexington
