As of Tuesday, 9/8/20,  limited WiFi hotspots will be available for check out to students. Please read and complete the WiFi Agreement form (Only ONCE) prior to checking out a device. Checkout procedures are in the form - https://bit.ly/3ggis2v. Hotspots will be checked out on a first come, first served basis and may be rechecked out based on availability. TISD purchased 40 WiFi hotspots. The WiFi hotspots run off of Sprint/T-Mobile towers and we cannot guarantee service in all areas. There are 24 hotspots reserved for TMS/THS students and 12 reserved for TES students. The remaining hotspots have already been checked out to Distance Learners. Check out days and return days will be Monday and Thursday. Check out will be limited to one week at a time. 

• TES Students - Parents will complete the WiFi Request form prior to 12:00 P.M. on the day of checkout. If a device is available it will be delivered to the office to be issued to the student. Hotspots will be checked out for 1 week at a time. 
  • TES students will be allowed to check out a device on Mondays or Thursdays and will return the device upon arrival to school to the TES office on the following Monday or Thursday.
  • Hotspots will be checked out for 1 week at a time. 

• TMS/THS Students - Students will complete the WiFi Request form prior to 12:00 P.M. on the day of checkout. If a device is available it will be delivered to the office to be issued to the student. Hotspots will be checked out for 1 week at a time.
  • TMS/THS students will be allowed to check out a device on Mondays or Thursdays and will return the device upon arrival to school to the TES office on the following Monday or Thursday.
  • Hotspots will be checked out for 1 week at a time. 

• Distance Learners - Please complete the WiFi Request form and contact technology@thorndale.txed.net to reserve a hotspot. If one is available arrangements will be made for pick up. 

If the hotspot is not returned on the due date, the parent/guardian will be notified. In addition, Wi-Fi service will be disconnected and the hotspot will no longer be usable. Failure to return the device will result in a $25 replacement charge.

Thorndale ISD reserves the right to refuse checkout to students who abuse the hotspots or repeatedly return them late.
