THORNDALE ISD

The first TISD Community Involvement meeting was held on September 27th. The meeting focused on Thorndale Elementary. The committee toured the Elementary, visited classrooms and heard from Mrs. Jones, Mr. Morrison, and TES students - Damian Donnelly, Heidi Spiers, Lilly Storm, Weston Suchomel, Graham Dickerson and Rubi Acosta. Mr. Kleypas and Mrs. Peel discussed the current and future state of Thorndale ISD at the end of the meeting. This is the largest group to date and we would like to thank each member taking the time to be a vital part of Thorndale ISD and our future. Looking forward to the next meeting in December! 

The second TISD Community Involvement meeting was held on December 6th. The meeting focused on Thorndale Middle. The committee toured the school, visited classrooms and heard from Mrs. Williamson, Mr. Frei and TMS students – Stacey Perez, Braelynn Bleeker, Cameron Quebe, Taylor Kylberg, Gibby Wagner , Bryce Lehmann. Each member has been a vital part of the Facilities meetings that have been occurring as well. Mr. Kleypas went into further discussion and answered questions that the community members brought forth.  We appreciate each member for their time and dedication to Thorndale ISD. Looking forward to the next meeting in February! 

The third TISD Community Involvement meeting was held on February 7th. The meeting focused on Thorndale High School. The committee toured the school, visited classrooms and heard from Mr. Betak and THS students – Jenna Lindig, Hadley Meadors, Garrett Schramm, Jordyn Stutts, and Kaden Kovar.  Mr. Kleypas and Mr. Betak went into further discussion and answered questions that the community members brought forth about the future of TISD and the needs of the high school.  We appreciate each member for their time and dedication to Thorndale ISD. Looking forward to the last meeting in March! 

Thank you to the community members that took the time to learn more about Thorndale ISD this year. It was a pleasure meeting with each of them and hearing their feedback. Throughout this year they met with teachers, students, principals, business manager and the superintendent as well as toured each campus. The last meeting was held March 20th and spent time reviewing the future of TISD.
