Asynchronous Instructional Plan

2020-2021 Asynchronous Instructional Plan

This page will be updated with the most recent information for the 2020-2021 school year. Please note the Back to School Plan could alter as we receive guidance from the State Governor, TEA and County Judge.

The Thorndale Asynchronous Instructional Plan was approved by TEA and may supersede the Back to School Plan where applicable.

To our students, staff, parents and community members:

Thank you so much for your patience and support during this challenging time. Over the past few months, we have been working on plans and gathering information. We have surveyed our staff and our community and have taken every opportunity to collaborate with other local districts and seek guidance from health and educational experts from across the state. While some districts have already posted plans, we felt it was prudent to gather as much solid information as possible before proceeding. At this point, we have decided that we must move forward with the understanding that we may very well have to make additional changes in the near future and throughout the year. After such a long time without students in our building, we are very excited to see their smiling faces again. We accept the challenges that we will face and we do so with a positive attitude so that we can support our students. We understand that there is no single plan that will satisfy everyone’s needs or make everyone happy. To that end, we have used all of the information available to us at the moment to formulate this plan.

  • School will officially start August 17th
